Day 2 of Freebies and Giveaway!

Hello everyone!

Today is Day 2 of my week of freebies and giveaways!! If you missed yesterday's freebie, please click here to get my behavior chart stuff!

Remember, you have a chance to win everything and anything from my store! Just follow my blog, follow my TPT store, and blog about my giveawy/freebie week on your blog and get three entries to win! Please comment on the Day 1 post as this is where I will be choosing the winner from! That post is here!

And just as an added end of summer bonus, if you post about my giveaway on your blog, you will get my 4 best selling products on TPT for free! I will e-mail them to you :) I am trying really hard to build up followers!

Today, I have another freebie for you! I have created a Back to School Antonyms game! I find that my students grasp the concept of synonyms and antonyms better if I introduce antonyms first. Kids are very familiar with what opposites are, and antonyms play wonderfully into that skill! This one is a game that students can play independently as a word work station, or can be played as a matching game with partners. It comes with a response sheet that students can fill you!

Just for your information, I am going to link a bunch of resources I found to help teach the concept of antonyms :) Hope they help!

-A game and worksheet from the Teeny Tiny Teacher!
-Cute crafty idea and a antonym book from The First Grade Parade!
-An antonym writing activity from Oceans of First Grade Fun!
-A word work game from First Grade Fanatics!
-A matching game from Buggy for Second Grade!
-A word work game and craftivity from First Grade Fever!
-A craftivity from All That Glitters in First Grade!
-An antonym worksheet from The First Grade Jungle!

Enjoy mine and all these other freebies! And be sure to continue to check back each day this week for more freebies!!

Happy Monday!
Sarah

Great activity! My firsties had a dificult time with opposites. My class became known as the chicken nuggets last year- that's what one student offered during our discussion. No opposite- just a very enthusiastic "Chicken nuggets!"
